Clean water, basic toilets and good hygiene practices are essential for the survival and development of children. Without these basic needs, the lives of children are at risk. For children under five, water- and sanitation-related diseases are one of the leading causes of illness and death.

ORWDAP runs a WASH programme in the rural communities around Buea; travelling to schools, distributing buckets and useful materials for children to learn about the importance of good hygiene, sanitation and clean water.

Since 2016, the anglophone crisis has caused some displacement amongst certain rural communities around Buea. As a result, there are some children who do not have access to school. ORWDAP has opened up a classroom for these children, where our staff Galia & Elizabeth run art, maths and English workshops alongside other NGO activities.
